A refugee-led organization built from faith, service, and proximity.

Hope Rising South Sudan began in 2020 as a small Sunday School class at Imvepi House of Prayer during a season of severe social and economic vulnerability.

Today, HoRiSS serves refugees and host communities in Imvepi through education, discipleship, psychosocial support, peacebuilding, relief, livelihoods, and Creative Learning Haven.

“Children, Our Hope.”

HoRiSS motto
Refugee-led leadership in Imvepi
Registered with Terego District Local Government
Partner-supported education and livelihood work
Transparent stewardship and direct local accountability

Flagship Work

Two anchors of hope: a library and a pathway through school.

The strongest HoRiSS stories begin where children are learning, reading, drawing, being mentored, and staying in school.
